SRNT’s New Topic-Driven Networks: How to Participate!

SRNT has recently created six topic-driven Networks, which promote opportunities for members to interact with one another and to address and influence significant issues in the field of nicotine and tobacco research. All SRNT members are eligible to participate in one or more Networks.

Each Network is led by an Advisory Committee which is tasked with linking the work of that Network across all aspects of SRNT (including membership, journal, conference and website).

The six Networks are Basic Science; Genetics; Global Health; Public Health Policy; Tobacco-Related Health Disparities (TRHD); and Treatment. Descriptions of each Network can be found at the bottom of this email.

If you are interested in participating in one or more of the newly formed Networks, there are two ways to sign up:

  1. Click here to join SRNT Networks
  2. Send an email to membership@srnt.org, indicating which Network(s) you would like to join.

Within the next few months, Network Chairs will follow up with Network members to identify professional/educational needs, as well as projects and networking opportunities.

All SRNT members are encouraged to join at least one Network: interact with your colleagues around the world; work on projects that help to advance your particular field of research; and help inform decisions made by SRNT leadership as the organization continues to grow and take on new challenges!

If you have any questions, please email Bruce Wheeler, Executive Director, at bwheeler@srnt.org.
